It also symbolizes the anticipation and hope that the families of naval servicemen once held for their loved ones’ safe return.
Here, everything can move a little slower. You can relax as if you were at home, enjoying the nostalgic charm and tranquil life of the old villages, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
This is a military dependents’ village—a place where the families of servicemen once lived. After demolition and reconstruction, the remaining villages have become part of Taiwan’s valuable cultural heritage.
It is an ideal place for friends to gather, for family retreats, wedding celebrations, or simply as a quiet stop during your travels. At the same time, it serves as an art studio and a peaceful space for rest and reflection—an oasis in the heart of the city.
