INFOIntroduction
Wulai is located about 27 kilometers southeast of Taipei City and is the only mountainous district in New Taipei City. The entire area is lush with greenery, clear flowing waters, and surrounded by mountains. The renowned Wulai Waterfall originates from a stunning mountaintop landscape featuring tranquil lakes, ancient towering trees, misty forests, colorful butterflies, cicadas singing, and birds chirping — like a paradise hidden from the world. However, due to the steep cliffs of the Nanshi River, visitors were unable to fully appreciate this scenery up close. Thus, the idea to construct an aerial cable car was conceived. The cable car allows the pristine natural landscape to be fully presented to visitors from above. Because the natural beauty of the area changes uniquely with each season — spring, summer, autumn, and winter — like a fairyland, the place was named "Yun Hsien Resort" (literally meaning "Cloud Fairy Paradise").
