A Touch of Zen offers travelers a rare opportunity to spend a night in the former home of a navy admiral built during the Japanese colonial era and restored to reflect design and decor of that period. We are located near the Zuoying HSR station and the Lotus Pond, and walking distance from the Kaohsiung National Stadium (aka World Games Stadium). The decor has a Taiwanese movie theme. We have 3 guest rooms - an old fashioned tatami room for 2-3 people, The writer's room - a creative single room, and a 4-person mixed backpackers' cabin bunk dorm, which can be rented as a whole room or by the individual bunk. Larger families or groups may rent out our entire guest wing with all 3 rooms, sleeping up to 9 people. There is a shared kitchen available. We sometimes host concerts and other special events in our large lounge bar. Bicycles are available for guests to rent at low daily rates.
