Shanhou Folk Culture Village consists of 18 Minnan style old houses built during the Qing Dynasty. The construction lasted for 25 years to build the finest houses. To this day, the old houses remain the same as they were first built. The traditionally living space is well presented. Shanhou Folk Culture Village sits on the back of Shishan, facing Dongge Bay. Every morning when the sun rises up from the horizon, the sun shines into the halls. What's more Shanhou village used to be a restricted military base. Thus the environment of Wuhu Mountain is well preserved. There is a trail up just outside the village. There are also wetlands nearby where you can see native plants and insects. The abandoned military base, the intertidal zone are within walking distance. Traveling by bike is also a good way to go around. There are mountains and the sea around the homestay. You don't have to travel far to see and feel the nature. Slow down the pace and feel the tranquility. Enjoy the view of the moon and the stars. All the hustle and bustle of the city are miles away. Enjoy the nature, the fresh air and the lovely plants. When you stay at Pearl Homestay, look up to the sky and you will see clouds, birds, and butterflies.
