Fu Ren Bed & Breakfast is a stone building nearly 80 years old. On October 15, 2003, the owner bought a NT$20 sickle and cut a basket-size bundle of grass by the stairs in front of the building. Thick wild grass and many large trees obstructed views of the building and prevented such this great construction project from being completed. So he called home and told his parents about the situation, asking them to come to Matsu and help renovate the old structure. It was very hard work, but his parents showed their love by helping and supporting him through the entire process. Their persistence and dedication transformed the old building, which now shines with a warm atmosphere, featuring stairs, curves, waving grass, and flowers. We would like to thank many people for making this possible. The building’s beauty is really unbelievable, and there is not a single nail to be found in the internal wood structure. The building is also well-situated, facing Fu-Ao Wharf, from where one can see little white boats traveling between the islands during the day and the most beautiful sights in the evening, including the moon in the middle of the month. The best part is relaxing either in the outdoor area or inside and listening to the sound of crashing waves! Flowers of all colors make their appearances by season, butterflies dance in the wind, and carefree birds fly overhead.
