Tempus comprises two buildings that each give guests a different accommodation experience: A, which combines pop styling with minimalist design, giving guests a clear, vibrant, northern European atmosphere; and B, where you can enjoy a more classical environment using high-quality stone and classy wood furniture, escaping the rat race of the city into an air of warmth and comfort. And out of consideration for vacationing families, in September 2011 Tempus opened the four-person-room-focused Da-Dun Building, offering 84 all-new rooms in a simple grey-white checkerboard motif with twin bathrooms with European baths and balconies adorned with greenery. Overall, these new offerings create a sense of total relaxation and feel like vacationing abroad. A Gourmet Combination of East and West. The Tempus offers both Chinese and Western restaurants to satisfy all kinds of appetites. Kenting Ali Seafood Restaurant’s flagship Taichung branch is located here, and the restaurant fields its own fleet of eight fishing boats to catch its own fresh fish. Master chef Li Wenzhan puts to use his 26 years of experience to create fresh dishes with a distinctively southern Taiwanese taste. La Mode Restaurant, headed up by chef Zhong Qingtian, offers European style cooking made with locally sourced ingredients, serving up international meals that are both spectacular and healthy. Between the combination of East and West, these restaurants make the Tempus a culinary landmark for central Taiwan. Balinese Relaxation in the Middle of the City. Located next to the Tempus is a large, freshly designed recreation center where guests can swim, sunbathe, or just enjoy the sunshine and breeze amongst the coconut trees. Guests at the Tempus have unlimited access to this center, and can freely take advantage of the gym, classes, and sauna for a taste of high-quality tropical relaxation in the middle of the city.
