The "Dhyana and Pine Recreational Homestay" is located in Shuili Township, Nantou County, and right on the way to Sun Moon Lake Scenic Area, the destinations nearby include Sun Moon Lake, Jiji, Checheng, Shuili Snakekiln, Dongpu Hot Spring and more. This hostel occupies 25000 sqm of land and the location was Shuili's second largest log stockpile and lumbermill in 1950s to 1960s. The land was later purchased by Dr. Yang who is well-known locally after the "921" earthquake of 1999. With his massive planting of "Taiwan pines", this place booms years later. This pine garden is built with two hostels: "Dhyana Homestay" and "Song Zhi Yuan Homestay", both are registered with No. 260 and 279 licenses, respectively. These two homestays are managed by one single management group. The "Dhayana Homestay", a Japanese-style building with red roof tiles and white wall serves as the lobby of both homestays, while "Song Zhi Yuan" presents the cabins built with Taiwan red cypress timber and red honeycomb cell-shaped floor tiles, which resembles the old-school Japanese style. Relax in the Taiwan pine forest and pasture to talk to the breeze, pine forest and chirping birds and insects. There are several famous destinations, including Jiji (15 minutes driving), Sun Moon Lake (30 minutes driving), and Shuili Snakekiln (10 minutes of walking). Also, Taichung International Airport and HSR Taichung Station takes only about an hour of driving, and it's convenient to reach Checheng Recreational Agriculture Area, Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area and Dream Works of the Mei in Xinyi Township.
